Dwell Time Claculation Knit Fabric Dyeing

Let,
GSM of Fabric = x gm/m²
Diametet of Tube fabric = y inch
Fabric weight = z Kg
Machine Speed = a m/min
No.of Nozzle of the Machine = b
As GSM of fabric is x gm/m²,then

Area of x gm of Fabric is 1 m²

Area of 1 gm of Fabric is 1/x m²

Area of 1Kg of Fabric is 1000/x m²             (1 Kg=1000 gm)

Area of z Kg of Fabric is 1000*z/x m²

As diameter of the tube fabric is y inch, then
Width of the Open fabric is 2*y inch
                                          =2*y*2.54 cm           (1 inch = 2.54 cm)
                                         =(2*y*2.54)/100 m        (1 m = 100 cm)

Now,we know that,
Area = Length*Width
So,Length=Area/Width
               =(1000*z*100)/(2*x*y*2.54) m

So,
 Dwell Time = Length/(Machine Speed*No.of Nozzle)
                         = (1000*z*100)/(2*x*y*2.54*a*b) min

If we consider machine spped 300 m/min we can get a universal formula for Dwell Time or Cycle Time
Dwell Time = (65.62*Fabric weight in Kg)/(Diameter in Inch*GSM*No.of Nozzle).
